Identifying the systemic connection between the development of tourism and the development of the population, the importance of demographic features for the design, the placement of tourist offers, the formation of prices, and the planning of tourism development in certain areas.
By acquiring knowledge, students are trained to properly interpret the impact of tourism on demographic development and perform demographic analysis relevant to the elements of the tourism market.
Tourism and population as a category (subject) of interdisciplinary research. Systemic relationship between tourism and population development. Population as a consumer in tourism. (In) compatibility of population statistics and tourism statistics. Impact of tourism development on demographic change. Tourism movements as a specific form of seasonal migration. The importance of tourism for the economic activity of the population. Characteristics of demographic development of tourist regions. The effects of tourism as a factor of demographic development.
Changes in the number of inhabitants in tourist regions and zones. Components of population growth in tourist regions and zones. Demographic indicators of migration. Distribution and density of population in tourist regions and zones. Indicators of tourism development: number of beds, number of tourists, number of nights. Coefficients of tourist functionality. Coefficients of tourist intensity. Indicators of employment in tourism and complementary activities.
